Easter

Before church ... hair is curled.

Easter Lunch with both Grandmothers.

Easter Bunny and Egg Hunt

Checking out the goodies after the Easer Egg hunt.

Spring Break

For Spring Break we spent the week at Big Cedar. The girls had a wonderful time swimming, playing outside and just hanging out. Ellie participated in three of the kids activities provided by Big Cedar. She rode horses, fished, painted and enjoyed the "mad" science day at the kids club. Grammy stayed the whole week with us, while Papa Jack and Daddy left on Tuesday to work.

Ellie is in the middle with G looking on.

On the rainy day, we dyed Easter eggs in the room.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Happy Birthday Grammy! We love you. For Mom's BD we went out for a yummy dinner and came back to the hotel room to watch the movie "Enchanted." Sorry, but I did not get a picture of the fabulous chocolate cake that we all enjoyed.

St. Patrick's Day

Our family loves St. Patrick's Day and we have celebrated it the past two years by spending the afternoon in an Irish Pub at the Branson Landing. The pub has a very festive atmosphere with Irish music and dancers. David and Papa Jack had the job of getting us a table while the girls shopped at the many stores.

Our Actress

"Hooway for Wodney Wat"

Ellie was Chelsea Chinchilla in a play at the Arts Center of the Ozarks. The whole cast was made up of 7 and 8 year olds and they practiced for several weeks on Saturdays. Ellie really got into her part and had a wonderful time. Look for her in a few years on Broadway!

Easter Party

Today was Georgianna's preschool Easter party. The children were so excited to hunt the Easter eggs and then open the eggs up. Each egg had a prize of candy or something special.

Hats

After hours of playing outside, the girls came in for showers and dinner. They both came to the dinner table wearing hats. It was a very unusual sight! Then to top off the evening, David started teaching Ellie how to play chess. Notice Ellie still has on her hat while playing chess, and G was helping them strategize.

Our Artist

Ellie had a piece of her artwork entered in the Arts in the Air "Art from the Heart" 2008 Contest sponsored by the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute, UofA. Here she is sitting in front of her painting at a reception for the Regional contestants. She was one of 10 selected from her school to make it to the Regional level. Yea Ellie!

Snow Day!

Ellie and Georgianna had a day off of school today. They both had a wonderful time playing outside with neighborhood friends and making snowballs.

Slumber Party

Ellie had a slumber party for her 8th birthday with 11 girls; including Ellie. We though it would be fun to have it on Leap day since it was an extra day of the year --- so who needs sleep? The girls had a wonderful time playing outside on the trampoline and in the playhouse, and once it got dark, they played spotlight tag in the front yard hiding in all the trees. They also were busy painting nails and having pretend hairstyle shows. Once it got really late, I put in some movies for them to watch and they finally went to sleep.

Play Date

Georgianna had a special play date with Baker this week. He came to visit us from Tulsa. After a big lunch and no nap, they played until they both got to go pick Ellie up from school.
