Ellie's Quilt

During the Happy Hollow February intersession, Ellie took a quilting class to make a quilt out of old t-shirts and dresses that were meaningful to her. Some of the shirts were from Seagrove Beach, the Kentucky Derby, a Razorback, Timothy Team and her initials.
The students who participated in the class showed off their quilts during a Friday morning assembly. Ellie's quilt now rests on the end of her bed.

Ellie, what an awesome quilt you made! The colors are so great together and using your old t-shirts is a wonderful way to remember fun times that you had at those places for years to come! I love to play with fabric and make little quilts (and a few big ones, too), but have never made one from t-shirts. I'll have to start collecting them now! I'm so proud of you!
